Any input to improve how to take a shot of these little critters is welcomed.

Exif info is intact but this was taken with an FZ10 and I was quite a ways away from this little guy. I guess that is why some of the bluriness by his tail. I used spot focus on the lower part of his eye and the white fur beneath it.

Should I focus elsewhere?

He was a cute and quite noisy little one.

May I ask why there is no response to this picture? I asked for some critique and there is nothing at all about this picture. I find itrather deflating to ask for some insight and nothing at all.

If this is the wrong place to post then I would like to know that as well.

Mahalo,

Tom

Hello Tom,

I didn't respond because I really do not have any suggestions for you here. Overall the shot is nice. Exposure and color are great.

My only suggestion would have been to shoot the little fella when the grass would have been filling the frame. The white behind is a bit of a distraction.

Thanks Rodney,

Possibly a crop could improve on minimizing the distraction. Your insight and meaningful suggestions are much appreciated and I have learned alot from reading your posts.

Mahalo,

Tom

This is a crude edit, but I think you can see what I mean. These types of elements are what we always miss because our brains simply tune them out in favor of more interesting or important elements.
