This is one of those shots that just doesn't have much good going on for it. You can pull out more detail and have a dozen crop options, but it will always be lacking.

Here is a quick edit cropped at an 8x10 ratio.

Rodney thanks for the reply and edit.Can you be more specific about the shot will always have something lacking? Curious about how to improve.

It looks like you shot on a cloudy day which is fine, but the sky is white, the pine is green and the eagle has a brown body and white head. There isn't anything to help the eagle stand out or lead the viewer to it. Ideally, we'd see the entire body.

These types of shots are very difficult. You've done a great job considering the conditions.

Rodney, again, thanks for your help. Unfortunately, Juneau Alaska is cloudy and gray most of the time. I just thought the expression of theface of the eagle was interesting, plus the blood on his beak probably indicated a recent meal.
