Thanks guys, I haven't had this much fun since, well, the last time I had fun.

Brian, I did say that I wasn't trying to pretend the background hadn't been touched, and in defense ofmy very sloppy edit, I was rushing it. But that's not really why I posted this pic. And no I don't mind, you can kibitz till the kibbutz is full. It's all about the apple.

Kenneth, again, the fuzziness you see is a result of hasty, slapdash pretty darn cr*p editing on my part. Just wanted to get the pic on show without the untidiness behind George. It has been a good few years since we had any littleuns and their toys all over the shop :G.

Friday April 8th, and we've had snow :?. OK, just a few flurries, but snow. Put that in your back yard and sweep it.:-)

I would like some more opinions on the apple thingy though, thanks.

Stevekin.

Err, where's the little guys shadow ?

Apple has one on the wall and on him, but the little fella is shadowless?

At a guess I would say you removed the little guys shadow, and from the pic I would say it was the shadow of his hand and forearm.

Now, im gonna wait for the email, so I can come back and see that im wrong

He had an argument with his shadow, gets it from his Granddad :G.

See the shadow of histhumb on himself and his finger on the wall? The rest of his shadow is immediately behind, and lower down, from him. So even if I didn't make an abortion of the background blur it probably wouldn't be seen.

Actually I think the apple looks pretty good. However, the subject is not looking in the direction he is thowing the apple. Based on where he is looking, the apple should be futher down and to the right in the picture. That is unless this is a no look pass:lol:.

That's why I have never won Spot the Ball contests .I always follow their eyes etc, and the ball, or apple, is anywhere but where you think it should be.

Maybe the apple has been dropped rather than thrown. But it's going up instead of down. Has George discovered anti-gravity?

Come on, George is clever but he's only 17 months old ! You can't expect him to discover something like that for at least another year or so.

By the way, how can you tell if the apple is going up or down ?

The reason I posted this pic is because of the very same thoughts you all had. When I showed the printed version to family, their first thoughts, knowing that with digital and editing software you can do practically anything, were, " that's clever, theapple really looks like it was thrown by George".

Well it was thrown by George.

The only editing was the dodgy blurring of the background, levels adjustment, cropped to fit and removal of a little dribble off George's chin.

I can only think that the shadow irregularities, jpeg artifacts at zoom etc, are a consequence of the file size for here.

Sorry, didn't mean for anyone to be fooled, I think I was just hoping somebody might say, "Great capture of the apple".

I was pretty pleased with myself, particularly as I didn't expect him to throw an apple at me !!

Thanks for looking.

Stevekin.

I guess this was a no look pass!!!! This was rare opportunity to catch this type of shot, and was done so well, that nobody thought it could be done (including myself).
