OK, I tried to get a shot of pollen on a weed in my garden this afternoon, but no matter how I tried to do it, the shot just turned out CRAP!

This is my futile attempt at trying to capture it.

Your advice and comments are welcome.

you might need some post processing. the picture looks a bit soft. maybe a bit of sharpening might help.

That is not bad at all. The only suggestions I would make would be to try a smaller aperture for more DOF, and use a pod or sandbag to brace the camera to avoid the tiny bit of blur. I most always carry a mini pod with me. It fits in a jacket pocket easily and is incredibly useful. In wam weather, it can be awkward, since without a jacket, the only place to carry it is in the front trouser pocket, and then all the ladies think I am really happy to see them. :-)

The shot appears to have a lot of noise. Somewhat akin to taking it at very high ISO. Is this so? If so then reduce the ISO setting.
