I have several shots just like this but they were not shot for art or photography. They were shot to create scenery texture files for Microsoft Train Simulator.

As for the artistic merits of this shot, by itself it doesn't do much for me. However, as a background for an advertising poster or commercial art, it might work very well.

I'm afraid that I too can't see what the attraction is. However, maybe I have an explanation as to why you do. I also live in Nottingham, and anybody who thinks that it is 'sunny, shiny, happy Nottm ought to call this picture "Stoned":-)

I like it.

I can imagine JFK and Jackie on this beach...

Beach combing...

"Hey, Jack...look at this one!" says Jackie.

(Tweaked the saturation a bit and had to really downsize to get it to accept)

The code! Of course...the code! The color of every 23rd pebble counted in order from right to leftis exactly the same as the vowel order in the Inca alphabet. This confirms the legend of the sun God. I've always known someone would crack this mystery! Lets...see...hmmm...got it! Translated it means...add water and many trout, shake, don't stir, pour slowly and you've got yourself a fishing hole!! Yow!! Well done, and thanks...best regards,

KennethD

No, I am not sitting in a bar, typing on my laptop...

But seriously, outside of reminding me I have to mix some cement for concrete and pour it in some fence post holes, I don't see too much in this one.:-)

The wife says this is just like the view that you would get if you cracked my head open and took a picture of the inside. Wonder what she means by that?

Reminds me of that email where you had to find the man's face in the coffee beans.

Well I think the reason this picture appeals to you is because it has a unique cooling effect to it. It has stones that are really well curved. THey give off an image of being hard yet cushiony.
