I got down laying flat on the ground to take a shot of this flower.

Cropped and some PP done here of course.

Sharpening is a bit aggressive but like the somewhat grain effect.

I am a newbie at this and appreciate feedback.

WOW! That is different. This is in Hawaii? Maybe if it had been to the side a little with some more of the same plant in the background. I see something back there, Did you crop someout? But i like it.

I love the sharpness, and the blurred background. Looks great. They are blue berries, but they aren't blueberries! Where did u take the pic?

Awesome pic.I think I have some in my yard too.Will go take a pic and see today.I think they are called GRAPE HYACINTH (AKA Muscari latifolium).

Nancy I took the picture just outside where I used to live in Wisconsin. Spring is about in the air finally and this came through. It is very small and I used the macro setting with the kit lens for the *ist Ds I bought. I think I will keep it. Lenses now is whatis going to be the killer. I want a wider angle lens for cityscape shots and longer zoom for sports.
