Nice pictures. My wife and I love the close up. Our border collie thinks he's betterbut he's just jealous.

It may be my monitor but I feel they need more contrast. Number three is great.

If anyone is wondering what happened to the other images... they were removed.

If you read the forum guidelines (the sticky type post at the top of the threads listthat ends with"Read Before Posting"), we ask that you not post multiple images in a thread in this forum:

Quote:
4. Be Concise
Please post only one image per thread...this will allow each image to be judged on it's own merits and keeps the thread on topic. A critique which picks apart every detail of the image posted had better be worth the time reading it.
Guidelines for the Critiques and Techniques Forum

Now, we don'tmind more than one version of the same image in response to critique (for example, here it is cropped differently, etc.). But, posting different images in a thread makes it difficult tostay on topic.

Please don't take this the wrong way.... I'm glad to see more members interested in this forum.

So, please start a new thread (or threads) for other images you want critiqued.

That way, the focus will be on improving a specific image (rather than memberstrying to critiquemultiplein the same thread). ;-)

Thanks for understanding.

I understand but I would have liked to see the shot I edited left for the owner of the photo to see.

aladyforty:

Yes.. However, it was an edited version of a different photo than the first one posted to this thread.

I didn't try to decide which one was more important based on responses... I simply removed the ones that were not related to the first image posted.

I actually removed one entire thread yesterday that had 10 different images in it, asking the poster to start separate threads. ;-) In that case, nobody had responded yet, so I was able to PM the poster about it.

In this case, responses were already made before I noticed the thread. So, I left the thread, and wanted to provide an explanation of where the images went.

Bev:

Please feel free to start new threads for the other images.

We're just trying to set some guidelines to keep the threads on topic here, and multiple images in the same thread makes it more difficult for members to stayfocused on ways to improve a specific image.

Thanks for understanding.

Thanks Bev...

Trust me, you're not the first member not to notice this portion of the guidelines.

We just believe that one image per thread will be a better way to handle critiques (keeping members focused onissues regarding a specificimage, so that we all learn to improve our skills based on commentary about it from others).
