Here is a group of flowers from new FZ20 owner. First is the original pic. Second with Photoshop changes.

Please feel free to comment and give advice.

Nice shot!

Personally, I like the first photo more. The crop in the second exhibits too much empty space on the right that distracts from the composition. The flowers on the left got chopped.

At what ASA was the shot taken? Lighting? Looks grainy.

I think both are nice atempts and you are on the right track compositionally.

It looks like these images are tighter crops from a larger file and possibly shot on the camera's lowest resolution setting. Always use the highest resolution in camera and size down in post work if needed.

I like the empty space that you have in the second image. The space is less than 1/3 of the frame...It provides a nice perspective. It would be better if there were a bit of texture to make it a little more interesting. If it were mine, I'd probably crop about 1/3 of the empty space out.

Here is a crude edit to give you ideas before pressing the shutter release. I would have removed some of the flowers or push them out of the view when possible.
