Ive been wondering if I should crop this shot, I kind of like the fact that there is space in the direction where the bird is looking but is it too much? any other Ideas for improvement welcome as well.

Alady, I think you are at a level now that you really do not need to ask such questions. :-)

I think the image has a nice balance as is, but you already knew that.

just that a couple of people have commented that this photo does not look balanced.

Possibly those people prefer everything centered in the frame. The bottom branch is a bit of a distraction. Can you tone it down just a little? Maybe selectively desharpen it slightly too.

I think it may be just a little over exposed. Though your eyes see white, I doubt it is pure white. I'd say it is a brighter shade of gray.

Here is a quick crude edit.

LOL...You were one step ahead of me. Yes, I like the edited version much better, but the branch needs to bee a little cleaner looking...I'm sure you did a quickie edit and will fix it for the final.

I think this version is a little more similar to yours:-)

I just realized that this poor bird looks as if someone got to him with a hair dryer:!:

Ok, I like the last one you posted the best. It works and the branch is less distracting, yet maintains brightness.

Kudos!
