This is a picture of a Red maple leaf on my deck. I like how the textures and lines interact. I'm just wondering if anyone else finds this to be visually effective, or what I could do to make it more effective.

Interesting shot. I like your eye for a photo and I really like the textures presented. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments. Is there any way I could have improved this image??? I like the photo, but it seems like something is missing.

mb try this shot again with more diffused light.. say an overcast day.. it will really help the colors pop.. a polarizing filter could have been helpful too.. but i like this image alot.. nice eye...

Actually this was shot during the late afternoon on a slightly overcast day. I hadn't thought about using a polarizing filter, but i might give either that or an 81a filter a shot, as I can re-create this shot anytime. Thanks for your input.

The texture in the wood is great, a good contrast to the smooth lines of the leaf.
