I'm loving my slightly used Digital Rebel (300D) and Tamron 70-300mm lens. Any suggestions on this image?
1/60 sec
f/4.0
98mm
ISO 400
No flash

Thanks!
Jon

What a beautiful boy! I have a new granddaughter too and a Digital Rebel! I think the shot is very sweet and I like it a lot!

But I'll leave the technical comments to the ones who really know what they are talking about as far as the camera work.

But as a grandmother, I can tell you, you did good!!!!

A beautiful shot of your baby. My suggestion would be to crop so that only the baby is in the picture and being the main center of interest.

With you in the picture and not in focus or it may be the DOF it becomes distracting and loses the visual impact of your son.

This is by no means a professional edit but something I see as being creative on my part on behalf of the picture you shared. Since it is a beautiful snapshot look to meI took to this kind of edit.
