I dont realy know what to think of this pic.

Would it have been better if the window framed the picture on all four sides?

Any onther ideas?

I have only recently begun to try and take pictures of anything other than drunk friends.

The square object (sign?) in the left of frame is a bit distracting. It's niether in or out of the shot so my thought would be to either include or exclude it completely. Another thought would be to have two exposures - one for the shadow areas of the window and another for the bright outside - then merge them in an editor.

I agree about the 'sign', might be better without. But I think the mood in this shot would be spoiled if the interior was lit differently. It has a feeling of desperate isolation for the 'prisoner', (or perhaps one of your drunk friends),looking out at 'if only'.

Thanks for the advice.

I found the window like this with the sign in it. I wanted to take a picture of it the way I found it.

But I will compose my own photo's a bit more from now on.
