Now I know this photo was definitely taken with the wrong background. But what can be done by the photoshop wizzards to make it better?

This is my best shot at it. Is there a way to make the skin tones more even with PS ?

Hello Carrots.

I know the subject has not exactly got a look of sheer horror on their face, but I thought this might be fun.

Better than a fluorescent tube in the head and an untidy bedroom :-).

Perhaps you ought to post something like this in the Extreme Makeover forum in future, where more PS and other editing work goes on. You will get more of a response there than here.

I'd be tempted to select the background and blur it just to the point where focus is taken almost entirely off it and onto the subject.

Maybe even darken the background a little to help place all the focus on the subject?

Hi Carrots,

I just want to say I think the originalis a lovely pic.... I photoshop everything and anything - but if I did such a nice portrait of a friend I'd just darken the background a bit.She looks wonderfully fresh and spontaneous as she is.

Caroline

P.S. No, I lie, on second thoughtsI would get rid of the red eye.
