Almost continuous rain for the past couple of weeks in western North Carolina and naturally, the mushrooms are coming out. Braved some of the rain to shoot a couple of distinctive ones. Used a 1.6X teleconverter at full zoom. 100% cropped to fit the forum:

I must say...I've always liked theclose-up shots. I know what you mean about the weather. Where are you at? I'm in Waynesville, NC.
