Over exposed a little to get more of a sense of movement and really just to see what happened! Handheld A200 (antishake on) ISO50, 0.5" at f/9.

Does it work for you?

To me it just looks like a blurry picture. I think if the background were sharp and just the poeple were blurry, then you'd have something nice to look at and it would convey movement of people through the scene. But, you'd likely need a tripod for that. The anti-shake just couldn't keep the background from blurring for that long.

The idea is nice, though.

I think you're right. Next time I'll carry a tripod and see what happens. Thaanks for the feedback.

yep... i agree.... a tripod could take make this look like the difference between just an ordinary blurry shot, and actually showing action.

I'm not sure if it could be done, but if there was some way to expose the shot long, and then have a flash at the last possible moment... I think that could garner some interesting results with a shot like this.

Depending on the camera, it may have the second-curtain flash sync option.
