This shot is the result of stitching 5 pictures together. I'm still working on the merging, but any critique or hint will be helpful. Thanx

i don't know much about the technique you used but the end result looks pretty spectacular, nice job.

technique wise, i say you stitched this scene together well and i commend you on that..

however, subject wise, i am left wanting more.. wanting more color to be exact.. why don't you fire off a few of a similar shot at dusk when the sky gets some nice colors.. and silhouette something interesting in front of it..

thanks for sharing, dustin

julies: Thanx for the comment.

dustin: I see you point with the lack of subject which draws attention. I think a nice aged tree would have been nice here, so maybe i'll photoshop one in.

A wonderful job of stitching .... very impressive panorama skills!

I wonder if the concern for "something more"is resolvableby doing something to highlight the trees in the lower left hand corner. By doing so the picture might invite the "Z" pattern described by many textbooks on visual perspective. It may be worth the the time to mask the trees, and brighten them a bit. Or then, it might not be worth the effort, and you still have an outstanding panorama!

Thanx for the comments guys,

smikey: I haven't heard of the Z pattern before. I'll have to read that up.
digcamfan: How can i say no to a good edit. I'll touch it up on the tiff image on my com.

nice photo. good job putting it together. my fave bit is the beams of sunlight at the bottom of the main cloud.

not keen on the edited version. the colors are too much.

the original is a little boring, but that is ok I think. it is kind of relaxing. would look much better poster size. reminds me of one of those motivational photos.
