Saw this little guy catching flies while hopping leaves. Only managed to geta couple shots of him before he left.

I desaturated everything except the bird in this image in order to make it stand out a bit more, though I don't think it helped a whole lot.

What do you think? The original is here.

Here's another option. In Elements 3, I used the hightlight/shadow tool to bring out the bird more then selectively sharpened the bird some. It would have worked better if I had a larger file to work with.

That is much better! This was all so much easier with film!!! I really need to learn not only how to use Photoshop (I have CS2), but moreso, when each particular effect/filter is needed on an image. Pretty much so far all I know to use is the unsharp mask and brightness/contrast (which I do when converting from RAW, not in PS, anyway).

The second one is much better, although the bird looks a bit out of place for some reason. Could be highlighted to much because it appears to be floating or something.
