Another pic from a visit to Gettysburg. Again looking for tips on composition and editing. The sky is a little washed out but I didn't have my good gear to combat this. Original in color, and converted to B&W

The grass seems a little bit to sparkley,...might be a bit oversharpened. It distracted me from the cart. Otherwise a great image!

some of the sparkle is from resizing for web viewing. Also, this was not a great time of day to shoot (around 11am) and the sun was high and bright. Unfortunately, I was on a tight schedule and could not wait for perfect light.

the resize did give you some artifacts in this one as well.. once again a quick levels/curves edit could help out your contrast.. the sky could be darkened using a red filter effect that is found on some b&w conversion plugins.. or you could do it yourself using the channel mixer..

but i like the composition.. though a few steps to your right would have probably balanced the scene a bit better.. despite the few critiques, i do like this shot..

best regards,

dustin
