this shot is just too busy.. there is no focal point as it is a bunch of flowers and they all compete with one another.. plus since the background is in focus too, its a big distracting.. plus you can see your shadow in the photo as well, big no-no..

when starting out... learn to photograph just one flower as it will simplify things for you.. use a larger aperture (so use 2.8 instead of 7.1, etc) to blur the background and cut the distractions from them..

give that a try and let us see what you get out of it..
