Michael,

Kinda okay shot.

The framing looks a little strange, like you cut off the bottom of the shot.

Not sure what you were trying to acheive with this shot.

Michael,

Kinda okay shot.

The framing looks a little strange, like you cut off the bottom of the shot.

yea.. it appears you shot this almost directly overhead.. this makes it look flat and not 3-dimensional.. the lighting is harsh, so there is a big dark spot in the upper left hand corner.. and there is nothing that anchors the focal point on this shot..

rays of sun through clouds are usually better shot from the side to give you a sense of scale.. you will also need an anchor for the interest in your shot.. whether that is one big cloud or something, i am not sure, just see what you can find that sticks out from the rest..

as is, this one really needs to be reshot as there is not much to save this one... give it another try with a different angle and composition and see what you can come up with...
