Maybe crop out the top half of the photo which is uninteresting.

Then you'd be focusing the viewers eyes on the nice flowing water.

Probably could have hunted around for a better camera angle.

you probably could have shot at angle that was facing upstream a little more, that could have created a more dynamic composition.. i agree w/ terry's crop suggestion..
