Hi to all,

This is one I planned and set up for. I liked the way the tree looked, so I watch for the clouds. When the sky looked right I sat up my tri-pod and shot about 30 frames at different intervals.

The birds were a bonus. I did't know I had got them till I loaded the shots on my computer.

Thanks for your comments.

Marsha

that is a beautiful sky! the position of the tree is a little awkward for me. a different angle might have been better. i think if you crop in a little from the left and get closer to the tree it would be a stronger composition, the tree top seems in competition with the cloud right now. that was a stroke of luck with the birds flying, it definitely adds to the image.

The clouds behind the tree almost echo the tree's shape, and it's a great bright colorful sky. I'd like to see this shot with the camera aimed slightly to the right, to eliminate some of the dark to the tree's left.

wow, this is an angry sunset! I like the view bc the silhouette of the tree and cloud & outline of the skyabove it act like shadows of each other. Cool, like pieces of a puzzle!
