Hi,

This is my post under this critiques section of this forum. Wanted to post one my pictures here for a long time but was not confident enough whether my pictures are worth to be posted here.

The picture is taken on a bright FALL morning. The red coloured leaves againtst the clear blue sky looked nice and i took this shot. There is not much of tecniques or any thing involved , straigt forward shot with some saturation and framing work in Photo shop.

looking forward for ur critiques..

pasu...

this one is just too big to get a good comment on.. i have to scroll around too much to get a feel for the composition... try resizing this one to about 700-800ish on the long side.. if you need help on how to do this, send me a PM..

thanks.

ok, so i keep looking at it.. on one hand, i like the story imparted here... you have captured the dying state of fall well.. but its almost too bright for the story you are looking for... i was thinking maybe a black and white conversion, but not sure if there is enough contrast to work well, and then you lose the colors... or maybe a tighter crop would emphasize the form better... it is too soft though, a little unsharp mask would be very helpful here..

maybe others can help me out here.. what do you all think?

Hi,

IMO the branch is just too horizontal. I personally think that I would have shot this at a diagonal across the frame - maybe after doing so I would have realised why you didn't!Or possibly flip it vertical? it may look like the top of a tree? Just thinking out loud there...

Just my opinion which is normally quite contraversal... either way nice colours.

i like the diagonal suggestion... a good diagonal coming from a corner always adds a little dynamicism (if thats a word) to your shot... good suggestion dom..
