i rather like the first shot... the conversion looks nice and the exposure is pretty good.. its simple, but it works...

the second shot does not work for me.. the right side of the apple is overexposed and i don't much care for the wrinkled backdrop..

I don't care for the exposure in either but like the idea. In this case it appears the expoure is going from extreme to lacking with very little in between.
