This shot comes from the photo I am using in my s7raw tutorials / userguide on my website. It is similar to another shot of this dried up rose but I did some things different with it (old post here: http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...ht=fallen+rose). Namely, I shot with a different back ground and lighting. Tell me what you guys think.

Also, I forgot to add that the above picture was originally shot underexposed so that I could demonstrate how much can be restored by editing mostly in a raw environment. The only thing I did in a non-raw editor with the above image is unsharp mask. By the way here is the origianl image resized and converted to jpeg only.

the whites definately look alot better in the edited version.. both from exposure and i would take a guess you also custom white balanced it as well.. that goes to show the power of RAW.. i use it on all of my shots and whata difference it makes, especially at night or in other lighting conditions where a mix of different tempertures of lights exist.. i definately recommend experimenting with it to everyone..

nice example man.

Yup, I use custom white balance, exposure compensation, selective color adjustments (Brought out the yellows and reds more) and vignetting adjustments all in the RAW processing.
