I agree with the edit. But I think it could have been a little stronger with a more powerful reaction shot from a passerby. Like if you had waited there for a while until someone was really kind of making a face at the guy, or was deliberately turning their head. The lady in the background really seems oblivious. I lived and worked in NYC and loved trying to get shots like that. Never happened though.

how about this? In case anyone wants to recreate the effect I used a highly effective tool called paint. :G

Fifty years ago this would have been a common sight in almost any city or town. Outdoor evangelism was much more common then, including the oft-seen Salvation Army streetcorner groups. I, myself, was one of those groups -- playing my cornet with my parents and brother.

Today, it seems that most denominations have little interest in proclaiming "The Word" in open aire venues.

I, too, like the edited shot.
