I've been looking at turning my hand to stock photography and have been trying to get some "concept shots" recently. I want to upload to http://www.totallyphotos.com (so this is not getty!), but before I do I thought I'd ask for some feedback.

With an emphasis on selling for stock are there any tips on how I could improve this shot?

this one is very soft and its rather boring as well.. maybe its interesting enough for stock photog, i dont know, since i do nothing of the sort.. but i am not overly fond of this image.. maybe others with stock experience will comment more..

OK, thanks for that.

I had hoped to show the concept of "direction", "guidance", "choices" etc .... but I guess it doesn't come across that way.

you might look for a fork in the raod with signage, or a marked hiking trail split to show those concepts more....

This image doesnt bring across those points to me.

Also, you still need to have good photos regardless of the purpose. I agree with Hard80 about it being soft and uninteresting. Perhaps with a better sky, etc.
