this is very different for you, i think it works nicely.* interesting use of selective color- nicely balanced too. the subject matter is somewhere between a photojournalistic feel to a more artsy feel- over all a nice "photo-essay". is this a "mad_grll" inspiration...it's nice to see you expanding your horizons, lol.

Because I'm not on that level yet, I wouldn't comment on technical side. What I can tell is this image is very touching. It is really "telling a story''. Brings up emotions, thoughts...

Thanks.

thank you both for the comments.. i rather enjoyed working on this shot...

the vision for me was a couple nearing more towards the twilight of their life.. and i use the red sky as impending death..(paralleled by the memorial on the bench).. and they are together waiting.. not anxiously, not scared, just contentedly waiting.. the selective coloring of the flowers and such is a symbol of life and happiness around them (possibly alluding to grandchildren, etc)...

anyways, that was the vision i was going for.. but of course its open to each individuals interpretations..

thanks

Hey Dustin,

Its a great shot. Only one critique if I may... there appears to be quite a harsh line where there are white clouds and then the coloured modified one. Maybe you could just soften the difference there? Just a maybe?

thanks for the comments guys.. i will soften up the flower a bit, it does look to be a bit too saturated.. and the sky, i figured outa better technique since making this, so subsequent pics should look better..

thanks!
