i liked the way his head is turned in this shot, i guess the direction his eyes take you.

it's a very interesting shot, i like the way the light frames his face, good detail. his expression and sense of movement add to this and make you wonder what he was thinking. i like it.

left side of face seems over exposed. Try diffusing the light of using a reflector instead of the sharp lighting

the high key lighting while overblown actually adds some interest.. its the too tight crop and the plastic piece in the upper right corner that ruins this for me..

His eyes take the viewer in no direction because they are not the center of interest(COI) here. The brightest element in the scene is the COI. If the photographer renders an effective image, then the viewer is lead to the intended COI.

For clarification: This is not high key lighting or a high key scene. It is a high contrast scene, though lacking the shadows I like to see in a high contrast scene.
