This image was shot at my daughter's dance performance (Corn Festival, Morris Illinois for any one local to me) They were performing as part of the festival but were also raising money for a memorial (The Angel of Hope) to be placed in Coal City Illinois (another local town) The firemen were passing the helmets to aid in the fund raising for this memorial to the families who have lost children......

Here's the original: I was not prepared with appropriate aperature to get a good DOF....

Here's my adjusted image...3 blur layers w/ various degrees of opacity...attempting to fix the missed DOF....

All thoughts welcomed and encouraged....

I like it. Maybe just a bit more blur in the background. Not really necessary but seems equal in the foreground to me.

Thanks for the replies. I had played w/ a previous version that did have more blur to the foreground, but I was told it looked too fake. So I added a third layer and played w/ the opacity a bit.

Thanks again.

I agree with all of the above. You've removed a hell of a lot of clutter and simplified it for the viewer.

Nice one.
