Editing outthe heel out will extenuate the calf much more, aiding the proprtions there.... or crop that side a tad more.

The legs still look short to me, but not as bad now. Are you using a relatively wide angle here ? That may be the cause.

I don't know Hards, irrespective the angleof the shot is not helping. The suggestion I made should help though. I think.

Anyway its a different photo now its been cropped and certainly nowhere as apparent as in the original. But I think a lot of it was due to angle.

I don't do this kind of stuff but if faced with this task I might have been tempted to extenuate the leg by having them slightlycloser to camera, with a neutral focal length (no barrel)Obviously you need to try various things.

Tell us widowmaker, what the model thinks of your shots ? But inwardly she might not be happy you cuther head off... she'll have all the more reason to be shy in the future. I liked the angle of her head. It was a gentle almost classical pose. Just watch the proportions and work with what you have....

Still I think they are both very good.

:-)

The sessions only intention was purely the experience. I had never shot nude and she had never posed nude. She is not a model other than the fact that she is posing for me. She is not long legged and the angle only made them look shorter. I will probably shoot less angle next time.

I'm pleased that you see some good in the position of the head Lboy. I feel like any photographer who would limit themselves to a person facing the camera has probably set a limit on their creativity so to speak.

Seems the lighting on the left is intentionally brighter in the shot and to the right it looks well, dark.

The heel is a distraction and could either be cloned out since it is so dark or just cropped.

Heck what do I know about anything?

Just how I see it without looking at other comments first.
