I think a picture titled "What do u guys think of this one....." should be posted in the Critiques & Techniques Forum (which is exactly why the forum was created). I'll move it there for you.

Well, I'm no pro but that looks terrific resized and on my 17" CRT. I imagine it looked even better to you at full size and resolution.

It's a good shot, the tight crop works well, though I think I'd probably like to see a bit more room on the left, it depends on whether you have anything else in frame, but it does feel a little crowded on the left. Also perhaps it would have been better not to clip the chin, you've only just cropped it marginally so it looks like a mistake whereas the forehead crop is obviously what you wanted.

A good B&W version would likely be very interesting.

The main problem though is the eyes. You missed the focus slightly and his eyes aren't sharp. Some corrective work can no doubt be done in PS, to just push them slightly.

A quick attempt at BW & sharpening the eyes.

thanks for the replies guys.

funny thing bout this shot is that i didnt crop or cut of change anything.

i didnt even look when i took the shot.

Andy didnt wanna sit still and pose for a pic, sao i kinda was holding the camera on the table and just agled it towards him and snapped the shot before he could notice and block his face :-) LOL ...

so it was just a FLUKE shot :-) ....

thanks for all the replies though, i will try the sharpening on the eyes...thaks for that tip.

cheers for now.

B
