Another cool shot. Asthetically though the right side of the image is lacking for me. My eye finds the subject on left, leads right and theres nothing really there.

BTW. Do you have a good online source for priniting these panos out?

A little heavy on the left side but still nice.

I wonder if it is the small screen/format that makes you loose the right side. I suspect the larger original has enough there to be interesting. I like the overall flow/feeling of a wave disappearing into the distance.

I also wondered if a tighter crop at the bottomwould balance this better?

You might be on to something there Klfatcj, as I have printed and framed this one below A4 at the short end (so quite large) and it is quite popular over here in Berlin. Quite a few have asked for copies and no mention of the quiet area looking down Under Der Linden....? Most quite liking thekinda differingview on the gate, than is normally shown.

Anyway its something to keep in mind for future.

I wonder if the Germans would consider building another Gate for me so my picture will have balance for you guys. :blah:

The crop is better, not so much for getting rid of a bit of redundant brickwork, but on comparing the two, I think the sharp angle at the lower left on the original pulls you line of sight a bit to theleft initially.

On the second, the crop isolates a path in the centre of the picture, leads to the gate and then theline of the buildings takes you across the picture to the right. It adds to the flow I mentioned earlier.

i prefer the crop.. particularly in how it keeps the flow of the tiles in the foreground on theleft hand side of the frame.. i the original it was interupted by the corner, now it flows into the gate.. from there the interest spreads fromleft to righteffortlessly..

i like it.. particularly when i open it in a seperate window to cut down on distractions.. very cool shot worth setting up a little kiosk for right there.. could sell quite few i think..
