I have been working on this to get something I like. I am temporarily at this, a little dark maybe but was trying to distract from some of the clutter around/behind the base (not necessarily the fallen limbs) Ideas?

its a little too centered and the conversion is pretty harsh.. the background being that harsh distracts for me.. also its quite noisy/artifacty in the sky as well..

maybe if you would put the tree off-center a bit, and then shoot from a lower perspective so the treeline does not bisect the trunk of the tree as well as getting the ground clutter out of it would be more pleasing..

at least in photography.. back to the drawing board and a new project is actually fun to do!!
