Shot taken during a family session today. We used the babies sleep time to our advantage. Although I got many shots of him smiling, this picture seems to convery how the parents really feel about their son.

great moment for sure... i think you have captured the emotion quite well.. the hair highlights look good..

a couple things that may help your conversion.. you may look into masking off the baby's face and darkening it just a shade to bring out a little more detail.. also, you may see if you can lighten the shadow over the mom's right 1/2 of the face.. shouldn't be too difficult to do and i think it will improve the exposure and conversion..

You know I did some adustments on that already but its amazing how the surrounding color of a workspace (the white background in PS) can really change how something looks. Of course the edit area of the forum is white so it still looked ok but once it hits the black background it brought my edits right back out. Heres one with a bit more adjustment. Good or more?

Actually the babies face being so light is my fault as I didn't adjust the hairlight so it found its way onto his face.

the edit looks better to me.. much better detail in the eyes of the baby and in the mom's cheek area..

The edited shot is excellent. This one needs to be printed and framed. This will be a great family keepsake.
