Too much foreground I think but I liked the sky. The horizon does slope like that by the way - never sure whether one should correct for that, but then the cloud line would be at an angle?

That's quite an impressive sky steve. Would you be interested in swapping one of your December sunsets for one of our very cold English ones?

What camera are you using? Is it the S5500/S5000? or did I misunderstand that from an earlier post. Whatever, it is certainly doing the job.

i would go ahead and level out the horizon unless it throws the trees off too much.. and maybe go ahead and boost the saturation just a smidgen..

Thanks Syd -I think I'll stick with the african option if its all the same with you! You are correct, I'm using a 5500 with my eye on the 9500 - waiting for the dust to settle on the latter as I still have concerns about the random quality issues. In this part of the world it is sometimes not quite so easy to get people to replace a faulty unit without a lengthy process of bickering (& an increase in blood pressure level). The 5500 has turned out to be a really great camera (for me at least) and I think it is very under rated generally. Would like the manual zoom & focus on the 9500 though.

Thanks for the advice Dustin - will play with it a bit.

Steve
