The composition is very good. You have really got this one. I like the lighting too. It focusses my eye to the centre of the flower. The colours general and the light green and red is pleasant to the eye. I like the angle too. At first I thought the focus was bad but I notice the focus is on the centre green stalk.

Kind regards.

Jaki.

creative composition indeed.. and its a good shot.. a couple things that could have made it even better i think..

i think if you had shot with the stem coming out of the corner rather than close to out of it, it would flow better.. also, i think if you would have angled the flower away from you just a bit more, you woud have achieved more depth and better flowing lines..

but maybe not, i am just thinking outloud here..

Very nice shot.

But I thought the red lion was a pub down our way.

This is the famously haunted pub in Avebury Wiltshire.

Incidently do you have any theory as to what causes "orbs" in digital images? I have seen some weired examples.

Supossed manifestaions of the paranormal kind. I understand there are two basic theories, 1, light reflecting off dust particles or 2, manidestaions - ectoplasmic.

man, that is weird.. it seems as if these "orbs" are captured by 35mm film as well... and only in haunted areas... spooky.. :O
