I found this weed that had a beautiful flower. I wanted too see if I could improve on it. First picture is of the weed itself. The second picture Iused a12 x 12 black ceramic tile to provide a background.

I love the second one. The subtle reflection in the tile is a nice touch.

The first one seem to me overexposed and busy. The second one is as Ladyhawk has said. I like the angle too.

you did well with the flower.. i am talking about the 2nd shot.. good composition, the exposure looks good and i like the little reflection.. keep up the good work jim, you have come along ways in a short time..

That ain't no weed. That's a "Morning Glory". And that's a flower... All your guy
friends will find out about you taking pictures of flowers. To compensate you have
to take a picture of a truck. A "Dodge Hemi" would be best. A sports car would do
also, but not anything like a sissy Miata or Honda 2000. You'll need a Vette or Viper.
This is important... Your "Guy Card" is at stake.

Great job on the picture.
