I took this one of my dad at the local grocery store stocking up on diet cokes while they were on sale. It looked like a photo that might be in the local paper about diet sodas or their popularity or something like that. since the face is blurred and the item is really accented. let me know what you guys think though!

The power of advertising - I just had to refill my glass. I don't think I would have liked it if it had been a shot of a Pepsi display...not to start a debate here, though. I agree it hasa journalistic/street feel to it.

Wow America! We have to get ours from a shady character in the rough side of town.

MJ, I have shots like this. It is cool man. The blurry part seem to blend in well.

mike, i think you have indeed met your goals for this shot.. this could easily be posted in a newspaper somewhere.. it could be on the front page of the christmas papers had you dad been picking up an Xbox360 instead of Coke.. i like the movement in this shot, it adds a lot as does the slightly rotated composition..

y0 Syd, are you moving up from the bananas to coke??? haha

looks a bit like a shot someone took inadvertently. the motion is a nice touch, but the rest leaves me kinda wondering "why?"

THANK YOU!

I didn't want to be the "Lone Ranger" here. yes it has qualities.... But why?

Why not make a statement with your photography. That's what PJ is for... This
should be a product shot with some tension, like cigarettes or even the XBox360,
Anything.. Something.

dale

PS: Did you know theingredient in aspartame, is only a a couple ofmolecules
away from formaldehyde? There ya go tension... Drop your diet Cokes!
Eeeeuuuu...

Why not? Being a bit nit picky here as to what should have been the prop of choice to make this a better picture.

This shot has merit and is done well no matter what the product.

Maybe beer would have been better for New Year's Eve?

Yes I think it works. As for the subject, you worked with what was there. I don't think you will find isle ends loaded down with Xboxs anyway
