I took this at the same location as the "Sunset Thistle". In hindsight I wish I had taken the pic with the sun further to the left. Always something to learn from life's many adventures.

These pics owe me big time, well a pair of jeans. Getting into the paddock was no problem. Getting out left me with a large hole in my jeans.

Nice composition Shadow - just the sun'squite irritating (my personal mission at the moment - trying towork aroundsun burn out).

Wonder what this would have been like with the sun a bit lower?

I think I was trying to work the scene a bit too much. Too much high cloud cover was not working in my favour. I just really wanted to get out with my new CF to handle a bunch of RAW pics.

I have some others but there is still some burn out. After I lost the detail in the upper limbs of the tree I moved on. I took some straight out sunset pics but there was just not enough color in the sky to keep me interested for long.

Shadows, if you don't mind, I did some edit, sharpened, saturated colour, played around with tone, some cloning and cropping. Hope it is an improvement otherwise apologies.

Kind regards.

Jaki.

nice! Reminds me of the cover of the newest Mountain Goats album...

which is, strangely enough, titled "The Sunset Tree"
