I made this photo just before New year and now before printing I want your comments, speccially how to kill the noise that appeared in the dark areas of the building.

All suggestions and comments are welcome.

Thanks

Zak

Whoa... Your lens did some serious bending on the right side of the building. A crop
would chop the car by the light in half so that won't work. There is software to
correct for camera-lens combinations. I just switched over to PS but i see it has a
feature where you can extend a pattern, in this case the building to the right but
I've just read about it yesterday so I won't try it for you. You could also just pull that
corner over in PS and crop out the extra.

Like this.

I forgot to mention that this picture needs some USM too.

Can you see the difference ? Of course you can do a better job on the original.

Yeah thanks it is much better.

1. What did you use to correct the noise. Is it PSD or you used separate software

2. What did you mean with USM?

Thanks

download a program called "neat image". That will handle most of your noise reduction issues. There is a demo, which is free to use as long as you want, only resticting you to save in JPG and you cant to batch conversions of photos. It works great.

USM is the unsharp mask tool in photoshop. For sharpening the image.

As for straightening the barrel distortion, there are a few ways to handle this.

If your using photoshop try the filter, distortion.

Also, you can get a free plugin called panarama tools that will do some good stuff in this area.

play around with this to see what you can do.

i think if you pulled back a little bit, as in physically moved back.. to get in a little more movement from the road..it would be a little better composition as well as helping with the distortion you have..

Tigger's right, I used the free version of Neat Image on your pic. I thought it worked quite well. Was my second attempt with this program.
