Heres a shot of the castle where that bird display is... Its the castle used in the film "Where eagles dare" and behind it at the top of that mountain is where "Sound of Music" opens...

Here is The Tunnel before you get into the "Brass Lift" to take you to the top of Hitler's Lair, nr Berchestgaden. The lift ascends 120m to the top of the mountain, its very spooky walking in Hitler's footsteps

for future reference... if you are going to post more than 1 picture in a thread.. make them related, i.e. 2 different poses of the same person, etc..

i really like your castle shot.. i am glad you showed some of the mountain under the castle, it gives it a lot of good context.. i think maybe you could do a little post-processing to improve your contrast and saturation..

nice one!

the austrian landscape is very nice too.. good composition with the lake leading into the intersection of the 2 mountains with the summit in the background.. nice job with that one!

These are a great series of pictures.

This is the only forum in Steve's that has the one picture limit and
these would be well received down in Travel Photography.

The bird picture falls a little short because the bird that you panned on is
so smalland thebackground overwhelms it.

The castle picture is so cool! Wow ! But i do think it could be helped in PP.

The tunnel. Nothing without the story. And it is a cool story.

The mountain. VERY NICE.

dale

the castle shot is great, with a little post processing tweak it'll be awesome, same with the landscape/mountain- maybe clone out that little tree on the bottom left...very nice efforts, thanks for sharing them.

Really nice audioedge, for me the landscape is the best - awesome scenery. I remember from both Where Eagles Dare & Sound of Music, the breathtaking sense of space & depth they achievedin their filming which your castle & landscape shots also convey.

PS - can you imagine the logistics involved in building the Castlethere - mind boggling!
