Hey Dustin,

I am not normally a fan of artificial frames or digitally adding Matts (thanks LBoy!!) to images, but I think the one you have selected for the colour image is really cool.

I think the BW is nicer than the colour version - the only thing you are losing is the brown of the table, seeing as the laptop is silver it is kind of hidden by the mono conv. Also, I like the grain in this one - not too sure why - wish I could explain but unfortunately "I like it!".

I really like the grainy one first posted (minus barrel distort), but would appreciate a bit more context, like maybe a set of headphones or even better a guitar capo - sort of saying this laptop is used for music production... obviously different items would provoke different ideas... anyway nice shot, now im up close and photoing all my digital equipment, lol

thanks dom and audio.. appreciate the feedback..

audio- for the context to be specific to this laptop, i would have put an EMG electrode or a motion analysis sensor.. hehe.. not sure if you would find that interesting or not..

just a quick thought regarding the new frame you used on this pic, the top line of the laptop looks odd where it strikes the new frame, and continues.

Id have to say The second shot though is my fav here. Or maybe Im always trying so hard to eliminate noise that it bugs me no matter what when its introduced.

thanks tigger..

i was just playing around with the frame, had never used that one before.. i agree, this may not be the best photo for it, since the lines interact as you noticed..

its interesting to see ppl's own tastes for either grainy b&w or color.. it seems to be an even split on this forum.. but on the leica forum, everyone went for the grainy black and white.. but they also shoot alot of fast b&w film, so they go for that look in general i think..

Nice commercial shot, does nothing for me artistically.

Agree about the barrel distortion, and I think it works fine in colour or BW.

Dell Inspiron 9300?
