Thanks for the comments everyone! Sunset is really a beautiful time to shoot. This particular horse is a rodeo work horse and you're right Jaki...this horse was highly concentrating on it's rider for command. And Kenneth, what a thing for me to think about the next time I look at a horse's nose! :whack:Well, at least it wasn't the other end of the horse....LOL!

The first thing of course

is what a nice horse

my wirey ear hair

is something we share

looks great on his nose...

in my ear, tho,it's gross!

Really great subject Stitch - great colours, great perspective and a nice end of day mood. One of my great loves, although I'd advise anybody contemplating owning a horsenever to put money into something that eats whilst your sleeping!

Hi,

This is really nice - good exposure and sharp details. The only thing that I can't seem to ignore is the band of over exposed shy at the top of the picture. It's a shame the line of yellow bushes, etc wasn't a little higher.

Excellent composition!

I was going to say the same thing.

Also going to sugest an edit with the golden trees pulled up to the top. Needs to be done correctly not to spoil this very nice photograph.

Hey...thanks for the feedback. I wasn't sure if the sky would be a distraction or not since there was not much of it there. I thank you and LBoy for pointing it out. I have done an edit by applying a Neutral Density Mask. How does it look? Hopefully better.

Looking forward to your comments....

~~StitchBabe~~

Edited for re-edit

I like the second one better. Not only does the sky look better, but the yellow doesn't jump out and grab me. It might be a problem with my monitor, but I like the second one because the color is just slightly subdued, although not enough to detract from the overall beauty of the warm light.

Hi,

I do like the edit - it really does reduce the glare in the blown sky. However did you apply this filter to the entire background? Has it toned down the yellow also? Not sure if that matters or not?

If I hadn't seen the first image I would say this was fab! Good work...

This has been applied to the whole image.

Best do it selectively in this case.
