Second attempt at studio portraits. They are soft because I don't know how to resize them correctly. I know they are a little dim too. Should have moved the lights up a little higher, I think?

What else would make them better?

Thanks.

Rob

yes, the lights are too dim in this one. so it left your shot both underlit and a bit soft.

i am also not a fan of the yellow chair with the metal legs showing. i think maybe just covering a box with the backdrop and using that as a seat would be less distracting and keep the emphasis onElla.

shooting and seeing what went wrong is the best way to learn, so iknow your next one will be better and the next one after that better yet..

best wishes,
dustin

Thank you both. They are soft mostly due to resizing. I agree with you dustin about the chair legs being distracting. Appreciate your input.

Number 2 is great. I love the angle of Ella's body and, althoug slightly dulled, the brightness of the yellow chair adds a bit of fun to the image.
