Here is shot 2 from the session.

Again it is quite a shallow depth of field, which i was going for but now im not sure if by trying to do get that its actually made it a worse picture and would be better with more dof?

i think this one works much better than the last.* you could use more DoF but the focus spot here works pretty well and isn't ruined by the shallow DoF imo. overall this is a better composed, more expressive shot.

Thanks its really the expression that I am trying to captur in these shots, very easy for me to look and see that because he is my dog.

Much harder to make sure others can see it.

bring your area of focus a bit more forward. keep the nose and eyes sharp and let the rest blur out slowly. nice expression and nice presentation though.

Am loving photography again since getting my 350d/rebelxt, thanks for the feedback will keep working on these.
