i know i haven't posted much lately, been busy with school and a girl. but either way here's a photo for your critique, etc.

ps- i was trying to give the train emotion and recall feelings/emotions of childhood etc.

Hey Mike,

Hows that new haricut working out?? New Girl too?? must be doing something right!!!

Regarding the shot, like it. I think the selective focus is good on this one - really takes you straight to the face. However the area of focus is a little soft...

Also the big wooden section in the background should go I think. Even though it is blurred it is quite a distraction.

But cool!

i like the dof and perspective in this one. adds interest to something i would never think of shooting. you may sharpen up the area in focus a bit more though.

looks good

life does get better, goin to see my girlfriend at college on the 17th :-)
thanks for the comments guys, i love showin you things i see that many people would not consider to photograph or present in the way i do. not to say that it's anything special, just the way i see things.

see, i'm cutting down my number of posts but not the quality.
quality not quantity, gotta drive that home.

thanks again guys.

ps- i updated the color scheme and some photos on my website, hope you guys check it out and let me know what you think.

enjoy your trip! i am sure you will..

i had a chance to check out your gallery again.

i think your gallery labels are too far away from the icon. i was unsure if the ones for the first row were for it or the second row. maybe present them immediately above the icons?

also leave a little more space between your opening dialogue and the icons for balance.

I really like this shot alot * My only suggestion would be to attempt to crop off the left side a bit and clone out the dark vertical on the left side. It seems to pull my eye up and away.Great job!!! Inspiring...Off to borrow my daughter's toys....*
