I'd just like to show off my favourite grasshopper macro and hear your opinions. If I could shoot this again I would try to exclude the background colours of the chalet.

It's a good shot, but I think it would be better with a faster shutter speed, because it seems too bright to me.

Thanks Sergeant; I guess I could also use photoshop or something (todarken it slightly)if I want to keep this shot.

i think you could just darken it a little, not too much. the background is a little distracting as you said but you captured nice detail in this critter.

Thanks Boily! Impressive use of the clone tool there - hadn't thought of that.

I know it's a bit silly, but I prefer to stick to original photos (bar cropping; and sometimes slight saturation) for display.
