hi lizabeth these are very good b/w photos i like them very much, i hope you dont mind i ran an action on the one, because this is the right photo for this kind of shot.

Thanks everyone for the kind words & suggestions. I'm really new at pp, (I ordered ps elements 4.0 & it should be here Monday!),so I haven't tried much yet.

Alex....AWESOME!! What did you do to get it to look like this? I love it!

I think this is a great picture, and I am glad you have a good exposure. I think this barn is one of those places you should go back to depending on the season, because it has alot of promise. Again great capture.

Both shots are good, but the composition of the first one is better. As others have noted, some more contrast would be nice.

Alex's PP is really effective too. One of the reasons for that is because he had a good photo to work with.

I also agree that you should keep exploring this place at different times of year, different times of day, etc. It's a wonderful subject.

I really like this shot. Reminds me of one I took several years ago.

I adjusted the levels and contrast just a bit. Hope you don't mind
