I am attempting some macro stuff as i havent tried with my new cam

played around this morning. can u plse sugest anything i can do to improve on this

I like the 'used equipment' look - B&W is a good choice of medium here, I think. Nice effort.

Great idea, great subject, great presentation. My one critique: the highlights, especially in the background, appear blown to me. Do you have any shots with the exposure stopped down a bit? If so, are they pretty good or too dark?

nice shot of a whisker, yes it is slightly blown to the right but still, you made a whisker look good - well done

im hoping to do some macro stuff soon and will investigate some kitchen implements now after this inspiration, thanks

Wow, glad to see I inspired someone! I like this shot - strong composition, contrast and good DOF. Glad you pointed out it was a kitchen gadget though - I could have sworn it was the centre of a set of bike pedals! I'm not that great in the kitchen...

thanks frenchy and yea i tried a differnet look from your. you image was very clean and stream line. i tried to make mine real moody and grainy trying to enhance the rough texture and tried a bit of high key to add to it
